REAL WEDDING: LAURA AND ALEX

Laura and Alex’s wedding was an effortlessly stylish restaurant wedding at Bymark in downtown Toronto. With the iconic Fairmont Royal York as their home base, and the ceremony and reception a short walk away at Bymark, Laura and Alex’s intimate event blended modern sophistication with elegant simplicity.

Morning Elegance at the Fairmont Royal York

The day began at the iconic Fairmont Royal York, where the bride and her bridesmaids got ready with a quiet buzz of anticipation. The hotel’s classic charm offered the perfect backdrop to the morning — a serene mix of vintage glamour and timeless tradition. Looking stunning in her Eva Lendel gown, Laura carried a bouquet of white lilies, roses, and orchids.

First Look at The Royal York and portraits in downtown Toronto

Laura and Alex shared their first look at the Royal York, where they captured a series of stunning portraits with an understated, film-inspired charm. They then walked the two blocks from The Royal York to Bymark, taking photos through the streets of downtown Toronto’s Financial District, for stylish and contemporary wedding portraits.

meaningful wedding ceremony at bymark

Laura and Alex tied the knot at Bymark. From the very beginning, Laura had wanted a simple, minimal, elevated wedding. They opted for white floral arrangements on transparent pedestals, with white pillar candles and dim lighting, creating an intimate backdrop for their wedding ceremony, which they shared with their closest family and friends.

For cocktail hour and dinner, guests enjoyed live music while sipping on spritz, prosecco, and wine. Dinner was a highlight, as you’d expect at Bymark, with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. Florals were intentionally simple and elegant, the perfect “less-is-more” aesthetic, with white and blush roses in modern vases, soft candle lighting, white tablecloths, and natural linen napkins.

Wedding Celebration with a Vinyl DJ and Prosecco tower

After dinner, the vinyl DJ began the party upstairs, and Laura and Alex flooded a tower of coupes with prosecco! The couple then cut a white vintage-piped wedding cake and enjoyed the beautiful weather on the patio outside. Espresso martinis were offered as a special pick-me-up cocktail!
